A very Good Evening to you! :O)

I’ve just eaten the most delicious food and now I’m feeling very satisfied and nourished, what a lovely feeling!

Breakfast

Breakfast today was incredible. For the first time EVER I made a savoury porridge and WOW! It was so yummy and I felt like my body was really grateful for something savoury rather than sweet.

Brown rice with millet, carrot, celery, mushroom and miso

Bancha tea

Lunch

Buckwheat, aduki bean stew (made with carrot, swede, swiss chard & ginger) with spring onion garnish

Dinner

Parsnip and carrot broth

Brown rice stirfry with baby corn, swiss chard, leeks, peas, carrots and shoyu

Mashed peas with oat cream and herb salt

Tempeh with an incredible peanut sauce

Lovely pressed radishes with brown rice vinegar

Followed by a very delicious apple crumble (made with apples, sultanas, kuzu, apple juice, vanilla, oats, flour, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds and rice syrup) with oat cream (sugar/dairy free).

Snacks/other

Sesame bar with honey

4x hazelnut waffles

Rye toast with honey (eeek…I didn’t have anything other than honey to put on the toast and I was so hungry!)

I was so mega hungry today. I think it was a combination of not eating too well on Monday, and then yesterday I think there was a lack of substantial grains (I didn’t have any grains for lunch (apart from a couple of noodles) and for dinner I had sushi but it was made with white rice and I’m not sure that I’d call white rice a grain. It’s kind of like a grainless grain!!).

Having time to cook and just be at home is wonderful.

Love & nourishment

p.s. I almost forgot the exciting news…

It gives me great pleasure to announce that myself and a fellow macrotarian have scheduled our first cooking class of 2009 for April. It will be on the weekend of the 11th/12th April and the theme for the class is spring cooking. I will let you know the details as soon as poss. Exciting eh?! :O)

Good day!

I think I’m still getting over yesterday’s tiring day after getting up at 4.30am and not getting bed until 1am…arghh! Not good, not good! I am looking forward to tomorrow evening when I will have an evening at home and a very early night. Ahhh!

I couldn’t face getting up earlier this morning to make lunch or dinner so I’ve had to do my best at finding decent food. Luckily, working in the city there are at least some ok choices.

Breakfast

Miso soup from day 15

Millet porridge with a dollop of jam

Lunch

Brocolli, beetroot, puy lentils, kidney beans, carrot, watercress, lettuce, rocket, courgette

Thai broth made with noodles, spring onion, ginger, baby spinach, beansprouts, french beans, tofu, wakame and miso (I wasn’t too sure about this and wondered what else had gone into it…)

Liquorice tea

Dinner

Vegetarian sushi made with avacado, carrot, spring onion with a wakame, rocket, pumpkin seeds, corriander salad

I think I’ve been eating too many salad leaves lately…oops! One bag of salad for one person goes a long long way!!

Snacks/other

1 sugar free chocolate truffle

Oat and nut bar

Mugwort mochi (he he, I almost wrote hogwort mochi…oh dear, I think I need more sleep!) with jam

I have an exciting announcement to make too…but I’m going to keep you in suspense until tomorrow :O)

Lots of hogwort love :O)

Hello!

Oh what a day! This is the first day in such a long time where I’ve been so busy and only had about ten minutes for lunch and the same for dinner. So, I’ve had to have a 2nd take at a combined lunch and dinner eating as much as I like for as long as I like. Not ideal but sometimes you just gotta make the best of what you have!

Breakfast

Millet porridge with roasted almonds and stewed apples with cinnamon

Chamomile tea

Grain coffee

Lunch

Chickpeas with swede and carrot (aproximately 10 mouthfuls) and brown rice (probably only about 5 mouthfuls!!)

Amazake

Salted, toasted nori

Women’s energy tea

Dinner

Pretty much the same as lunch…I wouldn’t call it dinner!

Dinner & lunch

Plenty of chickpeas and brown rice (with mixed salad leaves) and plenty of time…ahhh!

Stewed apples with cinnamon and roasted almonds

I should have been in bed a couple of hours ago so I must wish you good night and take myself to bed. Zzzzz!

Good night!

Greetings!

Grrr…a few server issues later and here I am. Apologies for not being able to get on here sooner. When I tried to write last night the server was down and I couldn’t get onto the website to post, and today (16th Feb) I have been out an unable to access a computer all day. But alas! here I am and hopefully the server will now continue to serve well.

So, yesterday’s food was as follows:

Brown rice and barley miso soup with carrot, wakame, onion, swiss chard and ginger

Brown rice porridge with stewed apples and roasted almonds

Women’s energy tea

Lunch

Brown rice, chickpeas with carrot, swede and mixed salad leaves with mustard dressing

Bancha tea

Dinner

I didn’t have any dinner today because I just wasn’t hungry

Snacks/other

Rice milk, halva, sesame bar with honey, 1 x clearspring vanilla sweet (sugar free)

Thank you to my trusty little black book for allowing me to recall these details!

Hello LOVEly people :O)

I hope you’ve had a wonderful day, whether you celebrated valentines day or not (part of me thinks it’s a load of commercialised rubbish but another part of me really loves it that there is a day of the year dedicated to love. It’s a shame we do not dedicate each and every day to love, love for ourselves and love for one another). I hope you have felt the love regardless, and if you didn’t, please find attached to this a whole lot of love :O)

I danced for 5 hours today…the 5 rhythms dance is amazing!

Breakfast

I broke my fast today with 2 of those lovely Village Bakery nut bars. I wasn’t going to have any breakfast as I didn’t think I would be hungry but just before I left I felt really hungry so decided to have these.

Grain coffee with soya milk

Lunch

Cous cous from yesterday with mixed salad leaves and mustard dressing and steamed carrots with shoyu and tahini dressing

Amazake pudding made with agar agar, amazake, grain coffee, rice syrup, almonds and raisins

Grain coffee with soya milk

Dinner

Tempeh sandwiches with tomato sauce (sugar free of course), mayo (egg free), mustard, sauerkraut and gherkins and spelt bread. Super yum! It kind of feels a bit like the macro version of junk food!!

More amazake pudding and more grain coffee with soya milk

1 shot of tequilla with salt & lemon

OK so a bit of over kill on the grain coffee and as I write this I cannot wait to eat some freshly cooked grains tomorrow.

Lots of love & nourishment

G’day!

So, here we are walking this path where at times it can feel incredibly strange and lonely as everyone and everything around us seems to be going ‘against the grain’! Stick with it, treat yourself and remind yourself that as you continue to travel down this road, your body, your soul and every part of your being is being nourished. The longer you remain, the deeper the nourishment.

Breakfast

Soup from yesterday

Barley and brown rice porridge with rice syrup

Lunch

Soup from yesterday

Organic fruit and nut slice made with raisins, dates, figs, sunflower seeds, oranges, apricots, rice syrup, hazelnuts, almonds, date syrup, ginger and sunflower oil

2 x nut bars (from Village Bakery) made with rice syrup, walnuts, cashew, hazelnuts, almonds, oats, puffed rice, desicated coconut and concentrated apple juice

Dinner

I got home late tonight so I just added some cous cous and aduki beans to the remainder of the soup, and had it with some steamed some purple sprouting brocolli and a tahini and shoyu dressing

Snacks/other

Halva

Kettle chips & vegetable (parsnip, sweet potato & beetroot) crisps

Grain coffee & rice syrup

I feel that I’ve eaten so much processed food today and my body is telling me that it wasn’t such a clever thing to do…oops. Live & learn eh?!!

Time for bed!

Love

Good evening!

There is much I want to share with you this evening so I’ll do my best to get it all out.

First, as the title indicates, it really is ALL about ENERGY. What we think, what we feel, our environment, the food we eat, it’s all just energy.

I would like to share with you a paragraph from a book I am reading at the moment:

‘There is a simple universal principle: Everything in the universe wants to be accepted. All aspects of creation want to be loved, appreciated and included. So, any quality of energy that you are not allowing yourself to experience or express will keep coming up inside of you or around you until you recognise it as a part of you, until you accept it and integrate it into your personality and your life’ (Living in the Light by Shakiti Gawain)

Maybe you have been experiencing an addiction or something is holding you back from staying on the path. That’s OK, where ever you are is fine. You are where you are and we are all at different stages so we need to accept that. But be mindful that the addiction, the falling off the path for whatever reason is your being’s way (your body, mind, spirit, energy…whatever) of talking to you and telling you that some part of you needs attention. Are you neglecting a part of yourself or your life? What is your body telling you? Tune in and listen and be willing to hear what it has to say.

Energy is a fascinating concepts that I find myself intrigued by regularly.  Everything in life is just energy but in different forms….

OK time for food:

Breakfast

Miso soup from yesterday with slices of lemon

Millet and brown rice porridge with almonds and rice syrup

Bancha tea

Lunch

Millet and brown rice pudding with strawberry jam

Dinner

Spelt noodles, chickpea curry, lentils, mixed salad and mixed steamed veg. I ate out tonight at the lovely health food cafe and it was soooo yummy!

Lemon pudding (home made – which we surreptitiously ate in the cafe…ahem!)

1 x raw chocolate truffle

Calming tea

Snacks/other

Toasted salted nori sheets

I don’t have any food ready for tomorrow so the morning (before work) will be a busy one preparing breakfast and lunch. I have some aduki beans waiting patiently to be made into something yummy so I’ll see what magic I can work with those. Then there is porridge and miso soup…I’ll tackle this tomorrow morning!

Sending lots of positive healing energy to you all.
