I gave myself a ginger compress last night which was lovely. Maybe you are wondering what a ginger compress is? It is a macrobiotic remedy that is used to dissolve stagnation in the body and it is made from ginger juice. Last night I put it over my kidneys. I believe they liked it very much!!
I am learning about macrobiotic remedies during my studies and it’s truly fascinating. It seems that nature has an abundant selection of natural rememdies. Isn’t it such a shame that modern life has meant that we are now abusing this instead of making the most of it. So many things have been designed and developed to enhance our life on this planet (and of course there are so many things out there that do) but we seem to have taken it ten steps too far and now, instead of helping, we’ve created things that have become such a hindrance to ourselves and to our planet. It’s all out of kilter with nature. I am sure in some way soon nature (or something!) will give us a big wake up call and we’ll have no option but to obey the laws of nature or the laws of the universe (which is essentially what macrobiotics is).
I thank my lucky stars that I came across macrobiotics and I feel grateful to all those who have contributed or who contribute in one way or another to this wonderful, amazing and insightful subject.
With love, light & gratitude
Sharlene
