Good greetings to you!

It’s 1am in the morning and I got back from dancing not that long ago and have been doing a bit of cooking ready for tomorrow. I will be away from home all day tomorow so I am making sure I have nice breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared.

It has been soooo hot in London today and I’ve found myself craving cold and juicy things. My best discovery of the day is chilled bancha…ahhh, it’s sooo beautiful and refreshing :O) mmmm!

Howdy!

Apologies for only writing now. I had a busy day yesterday and didn’t get back home until really late and this is my first chance to write to you today.

Day 25

Breakfast

Miso soup made with onion, pumpkin and wakame

Milliet, brown rice and barley porridge with oat milk and pumpkin seeds

Grain coffee

Lunch

Pasta & kidney bean/tomato sauce

Some waffles

Dinner

Cucumber, avacado and onion salad, calamari, some spanish tortilla (only a tiny mouthful piece of this) & some olives

1 glass of red Rioja wine

Snacks/other

a pint of beer

I felt so tired this evening after doing lots of dancing and getting home very late…I’ve been having far to many late nights and feel like I need to get a handle on this!!

Day 26

Breakfast

Hot lemon

Millet porride with oat cream, barley malt and sunflower seeds

Followed by some cherries

Followed by me being soooo sick. I felt almost instantly sick after eating the cherries and proceeeded to be so.

I felt fine this morning when I woke up, although tired, and even after eating porridge I felt ok. But as soon as those cherries landed in my stomach it was not fun! I think that it must have been due to all the yin (from alcohol last night (although I didn’t drink that much I think my body is not so used to it any more), from the barley malt and then from the cherries…I think this is a big lesson.

Lunch

Vegetarian sushi, parsnip, beetroot and potato crisps

Grain coffee, water

Dinner

Tofu pittas with gherkins, sauerkraut, salad leaves, baby tomatoes, tomato ketchup, mayo (egg free) and mustard

Breathe easy tea, bright mood tea

I am really looking forward to time at home tomorrow :O) & cooking nice food.

Hello :O)

Another day of wholesome food and a very satisfied moi :O)!

Breakfast

Miso soup (same as yesterday)

Millet porridge with cashew cream

Grain coffee

Lunch

I was making lunch this morning and I thought I’d make a tofu stir fry, however I realised that I had some leftovers to use so I ended up with a barley, brown rice, swiss chard, onion, broad bean, pak choi and red lentil dish. It turned into a delicious one pot dish which was very yummy!

Grain coffee

Dinner

Corn and vegetable pasta with a super delish kidney bean, broad bean, tomato, garlic, mochi & green bean sauce, pressed cabbage, blanched kohl rabi, mixed salad leaves with a lemon and shoyu dressing, gherkins & roasted cashews

Snacks/other

I know what you are thinking…BUT..(he he)…I got home and I was super hungry and I opened the fridge and there was a delicious little strawberry and blueberry kanten begging me to eat it and my theory was that I better eat it before it is not longer edible! I also had a couple of cherries too which were also begging me to eat them!!

Bancha tea

Grain coffee

I can’t wait for the weekend to get here to have time at home :O) yipeee!

Good greetings!

I’m feeling a little sleep deprived at the moment so I’ll make this short and sweet in my bid to catch all the zzzzs I can get!

I’ve eaten such wonderful food today and staying up late last night (I didn’t get to bed until gone 1am….eeekkk!) to cook was well worth it.

Breakfast

Hot lemon water

Miso soup made with onion, carrot & sweet potato

A beautiful rich and creamy porridge made with brown rice, barley, home made cashew cream and oat milk..mmmm!

Lunch

Red lenils with onion, cabbage, brown rice & barley

Strawberry and blueberry kanten

Grain coffee with barley malt

Dinner

An incredibly sweet (the sweetest soup I’ve ever tasted or made!) squash soup with hijiki and oat milk

Brown rice and barley, pressed cabbage, stir fry tempeh with baby corn, pak choi, green beans, leeks and furikake

More kanten (shared with a friend along with a lovely cup of bancha tea :O)

Do I count the two desserts I had today as snacks or do they fall into the ‘meal’ category…??? :O) (I think I have an extraordinary ability to come up with just about any good reason to have dessert!!!). Whilst on this subject, which relates very much to a spleen imbalance, I have had a strange sensation in my groin area today where the spleen meridian runs so it is calling for some attention. Tomorrow I will work along this meridian and my stomach meridian too. I’m sure my stomach and spleen with love it :O)

I had lots of lovely vegetables and some beautiful cherries delivered today. I love receiving a box each week, it’s so refreshing and inspiring.

Peace, love & spirit

I didn’t eat anything at breakfast as I wasn’t hungry and didn’t want to eat anything before a massage this morning (which was complete and utter bliss…ahh!)

On my way home I was so hungry that I had to have some cashew nuts that I just bought so I had a handful of these

Hello!

Brunch

Miso soup from yesterday

Oat porridge with oat cream and rice syrup

Rye bread and fruit jam

Grain coffee with oat cream

Dinner

Red quinoa, haddock with lemon, stir fried baby corn and pok choi, pressed leek, roasted parsnips & sauerkraut and radishes

Blueberry and strawberry kanten

Snacks/other

Chocolate icecream (dairy & sugar free) – this stuff is dangerous

Peach

Couple of dried apricots

Bancha tea

Even within macrobiotics you can eat poorly and it seems so easy to slip into that category especially when snacking or over eating.  Next week I am really going to focus on not snacking. I think this is going to be my biggest challenge yet but I’m up for it. I will be moving into my new office next week so I think this will be useful for incorporating some new habits.

Do you ever feel like you are forever washing up and cleaning the kitchen??!! I do!! Maybe it is because I have a such tiny kitchen and it only takes one meal to give it the bombsite look. Ahh I dream of having a proper kitchen one day :O)

Peace & love

Hi!

So dessertfreeness happened today but snackfreeness didn’t quite! Snackfreeness and dessert control will begin on Monday! :O)

Miso soup with wakame, squash, butter beans & onion

Mochi with rice syrup

Dandelion tea

Lunch

Falafel pitta with hummous, red onion and parsley

Grain coffee with rice syrup

Dinner

Sweet (rice syrup) popcorn

Grain coffe with oat cream

No hot lemon this morning or a pressed salad because I really didn’t feel like it! ;o)

I went to bioenergetics tonight and it feels so great to be back after missing a couple of sessions.
