Good evening!

I’ve had many thoughts today & this evening about macrobiotics. I am sure that as of yet I do not really properly understand macrobiotics and there is just sooooo much I don’t know. Neither can I truly apply it to my life just yet….but one day!!!  I am trying to and I will continue trying, learning more and more until I really REALLY understand. I look forward to that!!

I ordered some new macro books today and I’m really looking forward to receiving them and to deepening my knowledge and understanding. Yay!

Breakfast

A beautiful oat porridge with shoyu

Lunch

Swede, carrots, onions & tempeh soup

Brown rice with gomasio, seitan stew with leeks, white cabbage, carrots and parsnip & steamed brocolli with ume paste dressing

Dinner

Bean sprout miso soup with spelt pasta

Brown rice with gomasio, cooked salad leaves with black sesame seeds & seitan stew

Hi!

I keep forgetting to tell you that I passed my macro exams…yayyy! :O) I’m very happy about that. It seems my cooking exam went better than what I originally thought too, yipee!

Today my aim was to fast for the whole day but I felt too hungry later in the day so I had to invest in an emergency supply of rice crackers!

I had only one small cup of grain coffee & a few rice crackers today. Now I am really looking forward to breakfast tomorrow and my body feels grateful for the rest.

Love & light

Hello!

Today I had one of those moments where I realised that my practice of macrobiotics is not as conscious as what it can be. It seems it’s very easy to eat things willy nilly without much thought to it’s effects on the body, and whilst I try to eat consciously as much as I can, I feel like I could definitely do better with this. So, next week my aim is to eat as simply as possible and to learn to tune in more to the effects. I would also really like to reduce my portion sizes as well since I still feel like I am still struggling with overeating :O( (grrrr! this feels like the bane of my life at the moment, it feels like there are some emotional issues here that I know must deal with in order to heal over eating…)

Breakfast

No thing

Lunch

Soup made with leftover veg & cous cous from yesterday

Buckwheat & millet, kale, arame & tofu dish

Dinner

Soup made with carrot, millet, kombu & aduki beans

Poletna, barley & tempeh stew with carrots, swede & onion

No liquid today :)

Howdy!

Today I found myself pondering about the symbol of yin and yang and I had some wonderful mini realisations. You know, the circle represents one, it represents the whole and from that whole or from that one comes all life.

What other circles in life does life come from? How about the ovaries? and the testicles? the egg, the body of sperm? and what about whole grains? which seem to be little circles in themselves (ok, they are not all perfectly round but they are perfectly whole and kind of circular in a way). I can’t think of any other food that is more circular or complete than wholegrains (ok, you could say an egg, or a melon or something like that but they are not as whole and as nutritionally complete as grains). Wholegrains, whole foods – it’s the way forward!!

It is this wholeness that is essential for health, for life, for love, for evolution…for everything!

Breakfast

Miso soup made with leftover quinoa & vegetables, chickpeas & buckwheat from yesterday

Lunch

Miso soup

Brown rice with gomasio, carrots, onion & tempeh, sauerkraut

Brown rice bar with nuts & rice syrup

Grain coffee

Dinner

Bancha tea

Miso soup (made with celeriac, carrot, wakame) with noodles

Millet with sunflower and pumpkin seeds, almond powder & gomasio

Carrots, tempeh & onion

Pressed radish

Wheat crackers with leek

Lemon pudding :)

Another beautiful day!

One love!
