Good Evening!

Breakfast

Brown rice cream

Lunch

Brown rice porridge

Dinner

Brown rice cream &…I tasted a bit of a sweet and sticky snack that I made for a friend for tomorrow (a peanut apricot rice cracker muffin) and now I wish I hadn’t as I don’t feel so good! That’ll teach me! Now I must pay special attention to how I’m feeling and what the effects are this evening and tomorrow morning. Hmmmm! It seems this is a good chance to deepend my understanding of the effects of food. It is clearer to see and feel after eating very simply for the last few days.

Much love & simplicity

Howdy!

Yesterday’s food went like this:

Breakfast

Brown rice & rice cream (with shoyu)

Lunch

Brown rice & rice cream (with shoyu)

Dinner

Brown rice & sweet rice & rice milk

Day 13

Breakfast

Home made amazake – mmmm. This was delicious. I am so happy I can make amazake now :) yayyyy! It’s really easy to do, you just need to get some koji, then you soak the rice and koji seperately overnight, then cook the rice for an hour and then mix in the koji and keep it somewhere warm for 12 hours – then you have delicious amazake!

Lunch

Brown rice

Dinner

Brown rice cream with shoyu

I am feeling sooo good after eating only brown rice and sweet rice for the last few days :) I love how my body starts feeling proper hunger and how I wake up in the morning feeling really refrehsed and revitalised. It is truly incredible what eating simple and pure food can do for the body.

Bless!

Zdravo!

Day 10

Breakfast

Sprouted wheat bread & grain coffee – mmmm, a lovely breakfast!

Lunch

Tuna salad with brown rice

Apple and amazake tart

1 oat bar

Dinner

Sprouted wheat bread & tuna salad

More apple & amazake tart

I’m a little disappointed with how day 10 went as I over ate a little. However, I must remind myself that there was a time when I was overeating chocolate or other kinds of junk foods and in comparison, a little extra sprouted wheat bread and tuna salad isn’t so bad. But still, my body doesn’t like it when I over eat and I must obey!! (he he!)

Day 11

Breakfast

Brown rice cream

Lunch

Brown rice porridge with shoyu

Brown rice milk

Dinner

Brown rice with shoyu

Brown rice milk

Mmm – I LOVE BROWN RICE!!!

I am making some sprouted brown rice bread and amazake this evening – ahhh, macrobiotic bliss!!

Good Evening!

Today has been very interesting because I spent the best part of the morning feeling a kind of intense frustration and impatience (which are emotions associated with the liver). I haven’t felt like that in a loooong time!! It is so interesting to see all these symptoms coming and going. I also woke up with tense and slightly painful shoulders too.  Ahhh, my liver is really not so happy, but I am sure it is liking my new, make sure I have plenty of good yin, eating regime!!

What is important now is that I don’t overdo the yin or lose sight of good quality yang too and I must become better at reading and feeling what my body needs. For now,  just the thought of salt, gomasio, umeboshi plums or anything like that makes my shoulders ache!!! Ahhh, how great it is to have this lesson! Thank you good old universe :) !!

Breakfast

The most amazing barley porridge EVER! with blanched spring greens

Lunch

Chickpea, celeriac, carrot, dried daikon & kombu soup – mmmm!

Buckwheat burgers from yesterday, pressed salad & nishime from yesterday too

Dessert – yayy! I decided to have dessert this afternoon instead. I made it with amazake, carrot juice, agar agar, a little lemon juice & kuzu & it was beauty in a bowl!!

I felt so much better after lunch and my feelings of impatience and frustration seemed to lessen…phew! I thought at one point I was going to explode!!

Dinner

Chickpea miso soup (same as lunch) with watercress

Barley stew with celery & a spoonful of brown rice & oats with mixed salad leaves, blanced radish & a dressing made of mustard, white miso, brown rice vinegar & water & some nori condiment

Mmm, dinner was great tonight :)

I had a salt pack last night! Tonight I think I will have a night off from any treatments, other than a massage :) yayy!

I’ve had to constantly remind myself about not having oil!

Overall I feel good. I also found a little spot/pimple on my lower lip today (just near the corner) which tells me something is going on in my small intestine. I wonder what I will wake up with tomorrow?

Now it’s time to watch a comedy (to help my liver!!) before some serious relaxation…ahhh!!

Love, light & laughter

Hello!

I forgot to tell you that yesterday morning I had a lovely ginger compress on my abdomen - so that is 2 down, 62 to go!!! I’d like to do them twice a week for the next 31 weeks. I don’t know if that is realistic for me at the moment but I am going to try. My aim is to relieve intestinal stagnation and build up and to give my intestines some loving! There’s a really great book about this called ‘The End of Medicine’ by Kaare Bursell that I’d highly recommend you to read if you haven’t already :)

I’ve had a really great day today and I am enjoying getting into this healing diet business!!

Breakfast

Millet porridge with no shoyu or miso but some spring greens

I cycled into work after breakfast (exercise – yay!) and I felt really hungry when I got in so I had a cous cous and squash muffin that I had made for dessert.

Lunch

A light miso soup made with wakame, celeriac, broccoli and aduki beans

Quinoa, pressed radish & beetroot salad & spring greens with toasted sunflower seeds

A dessert – a cous cous muffin with squash. Sounds pretty strange and not a typical dessert but sweet and kind of creamy tasting!! Mmmm! I felt so happy to be having a dessert today. :O) (and I’m even happier now because this evening I have prepared a dessert for tomorrow which I am eagerly anticipating eating!!!)

Dinner

Soup – same as lunch

Buckwheat burgers with onions, carrot, spring greens & roasted pumpkin seeds with pressed radish, beetroot & daikon salad & nishime  carrot & squash. WOW – nishime was amazing tonight, so soft and sweet, mmmm! I haven’t had this for sooo long and it was kind of a relief to eat it!!

So, I made a beautiful amazake, carrot & lemon dessert for tomorrow. I have decided that tomorrow night I will have a nice relaxing, nourishing pamper style evening with candles, music, oils, massage so I shall begin by indulging in this delightful treat!! Ahhh, I think tomorrow I will spend the day dreaming about dessert and looking forward to the evening! (it’s so nice to have things like this to look forward to and I realise that I don’t spend enough time doing things like this).

I had a bit of a headache this morning but I am guessing it is some kind of discharge so I just let it pass by.

Tonight I shall have either a salt pack or a hip bath. I’m not sure which one yet. Hip baths require more time and energy…hmmm. What will it be?!…I’ll let you know tomorrow!

Sending lots of healing energy & love your way
