Ola!
Another macrolicious day has passed us by!
Breakfast
Some lovely Serbian grain coffee. This is less processed than the grain coffee in the UK, so it feels & tastes much better.
Lunch
Really delicious buckwheat (mmm I love buckwheat!) with watercress & tahini nituke & a cucumber and sauerkraut salad
Dessert made of buckwheat cream, raisins & chestnuts (mmm soooo simple but satisfying!)
Dinner
Buckwheat pasta with a sauce made of spring onions, tofu, shiitake, kombu & shoyu & a brown rice and corn salad
Snack
Apple flavoured popcorn (flavoured with apple juice concentrate)

Dinner!
Love & more love

Helloooo!
I am happy to report that I felt heaps better (albeit a little delicate) & very hungry when I woke up this morning – phew!
Breakfast
Brown rice cream with shoyu
Lunch
Brown rice with gomasio & carrot & daikon nitsuke
a handful of almonds
Dinner
A lovely soup made from onions, cabbage & carrot with some home made buckwheat chapatis – mmm! Such a yummy dinner.
I also had a dessert tonight made of buckwheat cream, chestnuts and a little apple. I felt like I needed this this evening and realised that my food during the day was a little too yang hence my attraction towards a dessert this evening.
Drinks
A little grain coffee

Dobro Vece! (Good evening in Serbian!)
Ja nisam dobro danas – I am not good today!…
I was sick this morning not long after breakfast
and now I’m trying to work out why that was. It could have been because of yin I had last night (dessert) or that something was wrong with the grain milk I had for breakfast (which I made yesterday so it was one day old).
Whatever it was my stomach/body wanted to get rid of it quickly and it left me feeling pretty rough for the rest of the day!
So it seems there are two things to be learnt from today:
1. No desserts in the evening; and
2. Don’t drink grain milk that isn’t fresh!
I haven’t eaten anything all day and I’m sure my body is grateful for this break from food. I was going to have ume-sho-kuzu drink but I really couldn’t face it (or stomach it I should say!). Now I’m interested to see how I’ll feel in the morning, only time will tell!
It serves as another reminder to be even more conscious about what I choose to eat and when.

Greetings!
Some photos from the macro seminar:

Ienjoyed eating some wonderful food today:
Breakfast
Porridge made from sweet rice & oats with shoyu
Lunch
Aduki bean, squash & arame soup
Millet & buckwheat with gomasio, tofu & courgette moussaka (mmm, this was amazing!) & boiled radishes in ume paste
Dessert made of sweet rice, coconut, raisins & melon
Dinner
Soup (same as lunch)
Millet and buckwheat with gomasio, nituke onions & carrot & radishes.
Oh dear – another dessert – I just couldn’t help myself. I have discovered the nicest dessert ever – rice cream is sooooo creamy & yummy!
Ahhhhh!!!
So, I really must work on developing good discipline and strong will - this is work in progress & it is important that I find strength to accomplish this. I am aware that if I want my health (and indeed my life) to move forward that I must choose food wisely and not allow my lower levels of judgement to lure me!
Another liquidless (or drinkless I should say!) day!
Sending love & good vibrations your way

Good Evening!
It’s so nice to be back after a really great week in Serbia. I feel like one incredibly lucky woman to have had such an experience learning about macrobiotics, sharing food with lovely people, sharing this time with the most amazing macro man in the universe (a.k.a Mr Belusevic!) and spending time enjoying the beauty and magic of the mountains. Ahh! My soul feels truly happy!
I must keep this short tonight because I arrived home at 4am this morning and after having to get up at 7am I have had only 2.5 hours sleep (bleurgh!). This evening I’ve been doing lots of cooking for tomorrow as I am away from home all day so I must prepare in advance. Preparation and planning ahead a little (ahh, that reminds me that I must soak some chickpeas!) is so important when time is short. Tonight I made the following:
Millet & buckwheat, gomasio, aduki bean soup, courgette & onion moussake, a dessert made of sweet rice, brown rice & barley with a melon sauce topping (this has to be my favourite macro dessert to date!) and nituke carrots and onions. Tomorrow I must get up early to make porridge for breakfast and some kind of salad. I’ll see what the weather is like tomorrow as this will help me decide what to make.
Today I ate very simply:
Breakfast
Brown rice and barley porridge with miso
Lunch
Brown rice and barley porridge with miso
Dinner
A small handful of walnuts
Brown rice and barley porridge with shoyu
I hope tomorrow I will have time to write more about my experience and to share a few photos with you.
With love, light & lots of healing vibes

WOW – 1st July already (actually it’s the 2nd today as I’m a little late in posting).
Yesterday’s menu was as follows:
Breakfast
Oat and brown rice porridge with a wee splash of shoyu
Lunch
Vegetable spring roll
