Brown rice porridge but with a little bit of rice syrup

Brown rice with gomasio & rice cakes with miso
2 spoonfuls of sauerkraut
The best part of a grain fast for me is waking up the next morning and seeing how my body is and how I feel – I love that! Every morning we wake up is a chance to see how we did the day before and to set our intentions for the day ahead. I reckon that moment you wake up is one of the MOST important times of the day

A beautiful porridge made of quinoa and leftover lentil and miso soup – mmm!
Lunch
Ahh, lunch today was delicious. I’ve really appreciated having some proper time to just cook lovely wholesome food.
Miso soup made with celery, carrot & wakame
Millet, buckwheat & sunflower seed squares, the loveliest stewed broad beans and onions & cucumber & lettuce salad
Followed by brown rice & raisin cookies
3 pints of ale & a few crisps
Some chicken skin (don’t ask!!!)
Dinner
Miso soup, millet squares, stewed beans & onion & salad

Brown rice with gomasio (I had a few small bowls of this today rather than waiting until lunchtime I ate when I was hungry)

Mmmm! The last two days have been kind of perfect foodwise (apart from the chicken skin!!!). I love eating a varied diet one day and then really simply the next, I think my body likes that too!

I’ve been really struggling with over eating recently. It’s incredible to see how this links in with emotions and with patterns that I’ve been following my whole life. I know it’s going to keep coming up again and again until I face and deal with what the overeating represents (which I believe is just a way of dealing with difficult emotions (or not having to deal with them rather!!)).
Ahh, there is always so much to learn about eating, life, emotions, energy!
