Hello!

This morning I decided to have only miso soup with vegetables for breakfast and it was really refreshing :) ahhh!

Breakfast

Miso soup made with mushroom, wakame, onion & cabbage

Miso soup with mackarel

A really amazing white bean & mushroom lasagne & a slice of another type of lasagne I made with millet & squash with boiled veg & a mustard dressing & a lettuce, olive & carrot salad. Mmm both lasagnes were amazing!

Delicious pasta soup

Lunch

Millet & squash, brown rice, sweet rice & barley with onions, swede fries (with a mustard and polenta crust), banched kale & daikon, pickled daikon & carrot & red lentil, swede & onion dahl. Mmm, an amazing lunch

Followed by an experiment with barley, walnuts, apricots, cocoa & orange for dessert!! he he!

I made a whole loads of pickles today :) which was cool. I’m really getting into this. I love eating them too!

Oh yes, now let me tell you why I decided to postpone the cleanse – because in a couple of weeks time I’ll be embarking upon my first ever 6 week retreat/detox…I’m sooo excited :) I’ll tell you more about it nearer the time.

Greetings!

Well, the cleanse didn’t commence as I was too tempted by being relaxed and making and sharing lovely food with my husband so I decided to postpone the cleanse for the moment…I’ll tell you another good reason for this later!

Brown rice with furikake, cauliflower & brocolli, oat cake/burger type things, pressed daikon salad & hijiki with carrots & roasted pumpkin & sunflower seeds

Good Evening!

It’s really nice to be posting on time for a change!

I woke up this morning still feeling full because it seems the last couple of days I’ve eaten more than I should have and my old pattern of over eating is creeping back in so I’m taking action! I also feel like I would really love to begin a cleanse now so I’m going to do that until next weekend. My cleanse will involve eating simply, not much oil, NO NUTS!, lots of vegetables,light seasonings, opening foods, cleansing ingredients (like daikon :) and some exercise.

Today I have eaten very simply

Breakfast

I wasn’t hungry or thirsty so nothing for me

Lunch

Ume-sho-kuzu – mmm. I love umeboshi!

Then a walk in a forest with some kombu tea :)

Dinner

Barley cream, more barley cream followed by some barley milk and a little leftover ume-sho-kuzu

Tomorrow, I will try to have only grain & vegetables & perhaps a light soup for dinner.

Let the cleanse commence!

And…guess what?…an oat flapjack. I must admit to being rather disappointed at my lack of anything really after eating this. I didn’t find it particularly amazing to be eating a dessert again after so long. I did enjoy it but that was it, which is kind of boring!

a small glass of beer

More cornflakes & oat milk (I’m not buying any more cornflakes or oat milk because can’t stop eating them!!)
